Wallet & Payments

How to deposit, withdraw, and understand the fees and currencies supported on Preforge.

1. How do I deposit funds?

  1. Go to Profile → Wallet and enter the amount you want to deposit (minimum $15).
  2. Click Deposit Funds. You'll be redirected to a secure payment page run by NOWPayments — our payment processor.
  3. On that page, pick the cryptocurrency and network you want to pay with (e.g. USDC on Polygon, or ETH on Ethereum).
  4. A wallet address and QR code will appear. Open your crypto app or exchange, then either scan the QR code or paste the wallet address and send the exact amount shown.
  5. Once your transaction is confirmed on the blockchain, your Preforge balance updates automatically — no need to do anything else.

If you're new to crypto, USDC or USDT on the Polygon network are a good starting point — they're stable in value and have very low fees.

2. Do I need a crypto wallet to deposit?

Yes. To send a payment you need a crypto wallet — either a standalone app like MetaMask or Trust Wallet, or an account on an exchange like Coinbase or Binance that lets you send crypto directly.

If you already have crypto on an exchange, you can usually send it straight from there without any extra setup. Just look for a "Send" or "Withdraw" option on that platform.

You do not need a wallet to use your Preforge balance once it's topped up — everything inside the platform runs on our internal balance system.

3. Which cryptocurrency should I use?

You can pay with lots of coins. If you're unsure, here are the most popular options and their trade-offs:

  • USDC or USDT — Stablecoins pegged to $1 USD. No price volatility, so the amount you send is the amount we receive. Easy to calculate.
  • LTC (Litecoin) — Fast and cheap to send, with fees typically under $0.05. A good middle-ground if you already hold some.
  • BTC — Works fine but confirmations can be slower (10–30 minutes is normal).

For most people, USDC on Polygon is the easiest: stable value, fast, and fees are usually under $0.01.

4. What is a network and which one should I pick?

Many cryptocurrencies (like USDC or USDT) exist on multiple blockchains, called networks. Think of it like the same product sold in different stores — you need to pick the right "store" (network) that matches where your crypto currently is.

Common networks you'll see:

  • Polygon — Very cheap fees (fractions of a cent). Fast. Great for everyday use.
  • Ethereum — More expensive fees, but widely supported.
  • BNB Smart Chain — Low fees, common on Binance.
  • Tron (TRC-20) — Popular for USDT with low fees.

Important: always make sure the network you select on the NOWPayments page matches the network your wallet is set to. Sending on the wrong network means your funds will not arrive.

5. What are network fees (gas) and why do I need them?

Every transaction on a blockchain costs a small fee, paid in the native token of that network — not the coin you're sending. This is often called a "gas fee".

A couple of examples:

  • Sending USDC on Polygon requires a tiny amount of POL (Polygon's native token) in your wallet — usually worth well under $0.01.
  • Sending USDC on Ethereum requires some ETH for the fee — can range from $1 to $20+ depending on how busy the network is.
  • Sending USDT on Tron requires a small amount of TRX.

If your transaction fails or gets stuck, a missing or insufficient network fee token is the most common cause. Make sure your wallet holds a small amount of the right native token before sending.

6. How do I actually send the payment?

After choosing your crypto and network on the NOWPayments page, you'll see a payment screen with:

  • A wallet address — a long string of letters and numbers (e.g. 0x4fAB...c912)
  • A QR code — a scannable square image that encodes the same address
  • The exact amount to send

To send the payment, open your crypto app or exchange and use the "Send" option. You can either:

  • Scan the QR code with your app's camera — it fills in the address automatically.
  • Copy and paste the wallet address manually — make sure to copy the full address and double-check the first and last few characters.

Enter the exact amount shown and confirm the transaction. A countdown timer is shown on the payment page — you need to send within that window.

Never manually type a wallet address — always copy/paste or scan to avoid errors.

7. How long does a deposit take?

It depends on the network you used:

  • Polygon — Usually under 1 minute.
  • BNB Smart Chain — Typically 1–3 minutes.
  • Ethereum — Usually 1–5 minutes, but can be longer during congestion.
  • Bitcoin — Typically 10–30 minutes (requires more confirmations).

Once the required number of blockchain confirmations is reached, your Preforge balance updates automatically. You'll get a notification when it lands.

If your balance hasn't updated after 30 minutes and your transaction shows as confirmed in a block explorer, contact support with the transaction hash.

8. What if I sent to the wrong address or used the wrong network?

Unfortunately, blockchain transactions are irreversible — once sent, they cannot be cancelled or recalled by us or anyone else. This is why it's critical to double-check the address and network before confirming.

A few scenarios:

  • Wrong network (e.g. sent USDC on Ethereum but selected Polygon on the payment page) — the funds will likely not be detected. Contact support immediately with your transaction hash; recovery may be possible in some cases but is not guaranteed.
  • Wrong amount — if you sent less than required, the payment may expire. Contact support with your transaction details.
  • Wrong address entirely — funds are unrecoverable. Always copy/paste and verify addresses carefully.

When in doubt, send a small test amount first to confirm everything works before sending a larger sum.

9. How do I withdraw funds?

Go to Profile → Wallet → Withdraw, enter your destination wallet address and the amount you wish to withdraw, then submit the request. Withdrawals are manually reviewed and processed within 1–3 business days. If you have not received your withdrawal after 3 business days, please contact support.

10. What fees are charged on bids?

A transaction fee is charged on every bid regardless of outcome. Your level-based refund reduces the effective cost — at Level 1 you get 1% back, at Level 20 you get 20% back. When the pool wins, 90% of collected fees go to the NFT owner and 10% to the system. When the pool loses, the split is dynamic: 50–70% to the owner, 15–35% added to the NFT's value, and 15% to the system.
