NFTs

Everything about creating, managing, and understanding the value of NFTs on Preforge.

1. How do I create (mint) an NFT?

Go to My NFTs → Create NFT in your dashboard. Upload your artwork, fill in the name, description, and category, and set an initial value. Once submitted, your NFT enters a moderation queue. After approval it becomes publicly visible in the marketplace and enters the active bidding pool after the initial lock period.

2. What file types are supported for NFT artwork?

We support the most common image formats: JPEG, PNG, GIF, and WebP. The maximum file size per upload is 10 MB. For best results, use a square image at a resolution of at least 800×800 pixels.

3. How is the NFT value determined?

The initial value is set by the creator at the time of minting. From there, the value grows automatically whenever a bidding window ends with the pool losing — a portion of the fees collected is added directly to the NFT's value. This means every unsuccessful pool attempt makes the NFT more valuable over time.

4. What is the Cash Out option?

If you own an NFT — whether during the 8-hour lock period or at any time after — you can choose to cash out. This pays you the NFT's current value and returns the NFT to the platform. It is a good option if you would rather take guaranteed value than wait for a bidding window to resolve in your favour.

5. Why can't I see my NFT in the marketplace?

Newly created NFTs go through a short manual moderation review to ensure they meet platform guidelines. Once approved, your NFT becomes visible. Most NFTs are reviewed within a few hours. If your NFT has been pending for more than 48 hours without any update, please contact support.
