Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 15, 2026 — This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly when you register, use the Platform, or contact us:

  • Account data — username, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash);
  • Transaction data — bids placed, auctions participated in, NFTs acquired, bid credits returned, deposits, withdrawals, and wallet balances;
  • Communications — messages you send to our support team.

We also collect certain information automatically when you use the Platform:

  • IP address and approximate location;
  • Browser type, operating system, and device identifiers;
  • Pages visited, time spent, and referring URLs;
  • Cookie and session data (see Cookies section).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account;
  • Process bids, transactions, and payments;
  • Send transactional emails (verification, password resets, bid outcomes);
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorised access;
  • Comply with legal obligations;
  • Improve and maintain the Platform.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising profiling.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers — third parties who help us operate the Platform (e.g. payment processors, hosting providers), bound by confidentiality obligations;
  • Legal requirements — when required by law, regulation, or valid legal process;
  • Protection of rights — when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Preforge, our users, or others;
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice provided to users.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Platform. Transaction records may be retained longer where required by applicable law or for fraud prevention purposes.

If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it by law.

5. Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including password hashing, encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), and access controls.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

6. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Platform. These include:

  • Session cookies — required for login and authentication, deleted when you close your browser;
  • Preference cookies — remember your settings across visits;
  • Analytics cookies — help us understand how the Platform is used, in anonymised or aggregated form.

You can configure your browser to refuse cookies, but some parts of the Platform may not function correctly without them.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you;
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements;
  • Object to or restrict certain processing of your data;
  • Receive your data in a portable format.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe in accordance with applicable law.

8. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete it.

9. Third-Party Links

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties and encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal data.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the Platform or by email. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

11. Contact

If you have questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your data, please contact us.
